There’s no green foam. The suggested amounts to use are miscalculated. A large amount of seeds came out immediately (after all they DO float)Some seeds do sit in the bottom unless it’s sprayed inverted. The only reason for the sprayer is so seeds and FILLERS (styrofoam) is to prevent it from breezing by. Fortunately I bought the starter and refill on clearance. Under $6. I ended up spreading the seeds the best way. It also was quicker.

I purchased two boxes of grass shot. I also could not get any of the green to come out didn’t do anything wrong
I purchased two box’s of Grass Shot, followed the directions, there was no green, on the surface of the application, only clear, watered every day, seeds did not grow? The Grass Shot Photo’s show a green application, like a green mat, I assume this protects the seeds, and stimulates growth, but nothing happened? I don’t believe I did anything wrong, possibly received a bad batch.
If you don’t spray it on bare dirt, you are wasting time and money. The sprayers do not do a professional job. Hit and miss. Like comparing a rattle can to a professional sprayer.
